This Review Authenticity Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Review Guidelines Policy, Copyright Policy, Cookies Policy, Business Terms, Content Moderation Policy, Notice and Action Policy, Moderation Appeals Policy, and any other policies made available on the Platform.
veritymirror.com is built on the principle that reviews should help people make better decisions based on genuine customer experiences. This Policy is designed to:
A review is considered authentic when it is based on a real, personal, and relevant experience with the business being reviewed. An authentic review should be:
A review does not need to be positive to be authentic. Negative, neutral, and critical reviews are allowed when they are based on real experiences and comply with our policies.
A genuine experience may include buying a product, using a service, visiting a physical location, making a booking/reservation, requesting a quote, contacting customer support, receiving a delivery, attempting to purchase a product/service, or having a refund/warranty/billing/cancellation experience.
A genuine experience does not always require a completed purchase. However, the experience must be real, relevant, and connected to the business being reviewed.
A review may be considered inauthentic if it is fake, fabricated, written by someone who did not interact with the business, written by a business about itself, written by a competitor, written by an employee, written by a family member/friend without disclosure, bought/sold/exchanged for improper incentives, generated by bots/scripts, or submitted to manipulate rankings/reputation.
You may write a review if you had a genuine experience, the review reflects your own experience, you are writing honestly and in good faith, you are not pretending to be someone else, you are not writing on behalf of the business (unless clearly permitted/disclosed), you do not have an undisclosed conflict of interest, and you comply with our policies.
Reviews must be independent. You must not review a business if you own it, work for it, manage it, or are a director/shareholder/contractor/representative of it. Similarly, family members, friends, and competitors must not post reviews that would be misleading. Any relationship that could affect independence must be clearly disclosed.
Businesses must not review themselves. This includes asking employees, family, or friends to post reviews, hiring agencies to generate content, creating fake accounts, or manipulating review scores. Violations may result in removal of reviews, suspension of business tools, or termination of business accounts.
Businesses and their representatives must not review competitors to manipulate reputation (e.g., posting negative reviews, paying for reviews, or coordinating attacks). We investigate such activity rigorously.
Reviews should not be influenced by improper incentives (money, gifts, discounts, etc.). If an incentive is offered for any review, it must be lawful, neutral, clearly disclosed, and permitted by our platform.
Businesses may invite customers to leave reviews if the invitation process is neutral, fair, and non-discriminatory. Businesses must not invite only satisfied customers, pressure reviewers, or penalize negative feedback.
veritymirror.com uses labels for transparency:
Verification may be requested if a review is reported, contains serious allegations, appears suspicious/part of unusual activity, comes from an account with limited history, or shows patterns indicative of manipulation.
We may request proof of the customer experience, such as order numbers, invoices, receipts, booking confirmations, delivery confirmation, support tickets, email confirmation, or screenshots of interactions.
Submit only necessary information. Redact payment card numbers, bank details, national ID numbers, etc. Excessive data will be requested for resubmission in a redacted format.
If requested verification is not provided, we may hide, restrict, label, or remove the review. This does not confirm the review is fake, but it prevents us from confirming its authenticity.
We use manual and automated systems (checking review content, timing, rating, IP/device signals, account history, etc.) to assess authenticity. We do not disclose specific thresholds to prevent circumvention.
Automated tools help identify spam, bots, fake accounts, duplicate content, and review manipulation. Human review is utilized for complex, disputed, or high-impact cases.
Reviews must reflect human experience. Writing tools may be used for grammar or clarity, but AI/automation must not be used to create fake, mass-produced, or misleading content.
Any form of manipulation—buying reviews, review farms, coordinated attacks, bot-generated content—is strictly prohibited and will lead to enforcement actions.
Businesses are responsible for maintaining a fair review environment, ensuring their review requests are neutral and that they comply with all authenticity policies.
Users must provide accurate, honest, and relevant reviews, provide verification if needed, and refrain from engaging in manipulative or abusive practices.
Labels (e.g., "Verified") are for transparency. They do not guarantee that every statement in a review is true, but reflect our verification efforts.
Paid services do not allow businesses to alter authenticity findings, remove negative reviews, or influence ratings. Authenticity is non-negotiable.
Users and businesses can report suspicious reviews. Reports must be made in good faith with clear explanations and supporting evidence.
Reporting reviews in bad faith (e.g., reporting negative but legitimate reviews) is prohibited and may result in account restrictions.
Reviews failing checks may be hidden, restricted, labeled, or removed. We may also take action against the reviewer or business account if manipulation is detected.
Manipulation by a business leads to enforcement, including removal of all affected reviews, suspension of review tools, account suspension, or termination.
Decisions regarding authenticity can often be appealed. This process is handled via our Moderation Appeals Policy.
Older reviews may remain visible if authentic and useful, but we may restrict them if no longer relevant or if they appear misleading due to changed business conditions.
Posting multiple reviews for the same experience is prohibited. Update your existing review instead.
While public display names may be pseudonymous, we may require verification to ensure authenticity and policy compliance.
We process personal data provided during verification according to our Privacy Policy, limiting access to authorized personnel.
We retain records related to authenticity (evidence, decisions, history) for legal, audit, and security purposes.
We may publish transparency information (e.g., number of reviews removed/verified) in aggregated form to maintain platform trust.
We strive for authenticity, but cannot guarantee the truthfulness of every claim. Reviews remain personal opinions.
Verification labels do not constitute an endorsement by veritymirror.com.
This Policy works alongside all other Platform policies. In case of conflict, Terms and Conditions prevail.
We may update this Policy; changes will be notified via the Platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
